1. Introduction
Jobblr ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform. By using Jobblr, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We collect information that you provide directly to us:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password (or, if you choose Sign in with Google, we receive profile information from Google such as name, email, and an account identifier—see Google's privacy policy for how Google handles your data).
- Security: If you enable two-factor authentication, we process data needed to secure your login (e.g. TOTP secrets or backup codes). We use your phone number for verification and transactional SMS where you have opted in or where permitted. We use your date of birth to confirm you are at least 18.
- Profile Information: Service categories, business information, license details, coverage or service areas, photos, and similar profile fields for professionals.
- Identity and business verification: When you complete our verification flows, we may collect government-issued ID and biometric-related verification data through Stripe Identity (processed by Stripe according to their policies), and for professionals we may collect business documents for manual review.
- Job Information: Job descriptions, location (e.g. postal/ZIP or city), service requirements, questionnaire answers, budget, photos, and timeline preferences.
- Scheduling: Appointment or calendar details you add through the Platform (e.g. booking times, notes you choose to enter).
- Payment and wallet: Billing details, transaction history, Jobblr Balance (wallet) activity, subscription status, and dispute-related payment records. Card and bank data are handled by our payment processors—we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: In-app messages (including file attachments you upload), dispute filings and evidence, feedback, and emails or SMS we send or receive in connection with your account (including inbound mail processed for quote or support workflows).
2.2 Analytics and Automatically Collected Information
We may use analytics tools from time to time to understand aggregated usage (for example, which features are used). Our public website does not load third-party advertising networks for personalized ads. If we introduce new analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy.
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Platform:
- Device Information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
- Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, actions taken, search queries
- Location Data: Postal code / ZIP code, city or region (including where we derive a city from a postal or ZIP code to display listings)
- Push notifications: If you opt in, we store a device token (e.g. via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver push alerts about jobs, messages, or account events
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies: We use cookies and browser storage (including to keep you signed in, e.g. session tokens in local storage) and to remember preferences. Some sessions may end automatically after a period of inactivity.
2.3 Third-Party Information
We may receive information from third parties, such as payment processors (including Stripe for payments, subscriptions, Connect payouts, and Identity verification), email and SMS providers, Google when you use Google sign-in, and analytics or fraud-prevention vendors.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
- Process transactions and facilitate payments, subscriptions, wallet activity, escrow (VeriPay+), and professional payouts
- Verify user identities and prevent fraud (including document review and third-party identity verification)
- Match customers with appropriate professionals and operate lead notifications
- Send transactional emails, SMS, push notifications, and in-app updates (including periodic VeriPay+ reminders when your protected job has not yet been purchased by a professional, as described in our Terms of Service)
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats

4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Other Users
- When you post a job, professionals can see your job details and contact information
- When you purchase a lead, you can see the customer's job details and contact information
- Profile information is visible to other users as necessary for the Platform to function
4.2 Within Jobblr (support, safety, and operations)
Our staff and authorized contractors may access information as needed to operate the Platform, provide support (including priority support for eligible subscription plans), investigate disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, respond to legal requests, and protect users.
4.3 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:
- Stripe for payments, subscriptions, professional payouts (including Stripe Connect), and identity verification (Stripe's Privacy Policy)
- Resend (and similar providers) for transactional and operational email, including processing inbound email webhooks where configured
- SMS providers (e.g. Vonage or comparable vendors) for verification codes and transactional texts where applicable
- Firebase / Google for push notification delivery and related infrastructure when you enable push (Google privacy policy)
- Cloud hosting, logging, and infrastructure providers for storage and reliability

4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.
4.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
4.6 Third-Party Links
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Stripe, social platforms). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure authentication and access controls
- Regular security assessments and updates
- Limited access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request access to your personal information
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal information
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (transactional emails may still be sent)
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@jobblr.link.
6.5 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as transaction and payment records for accounting, tax, or dispute resolution).
6.6 Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Our marketplace works by letting professionals pay to receive your contact details (e.g. name, email, phone) when you post a job or lead—so they can quote and perform the work. Under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), that sharing in exchange for payment may be considered a "sale" of personal information.
If you are a California resident and wish to opt out of this type of sharing, or to exercise other CCPA rights (e.g. know, delete, correct), contact us at support@jobblr.link. We will honor valid requests consistent with applicable law.
6.7 Canada
Jobblr Inc. is based in Canada. If you are in Canada, applicable federal or provincial privacy laws (including PIPEDA or substantially similar provincial statutes) may give you additional rights regarding your personal information. Contact us at support@jobblr.link to exercise those rights where they apply.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and secure your session
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Measure performance or diagnose issues if we deploy analytics tools
You can control cookies and storage through your browser or device settings. Disabling them may limit certain features (for example, staying logged in).
8. Children's Privacy
Jobblr is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence (including Canada and the United States), including where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Platform, you acknowledge this processing and, where required by law, consent to the transfer of your information for the purposes described in this policy.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
